JOY is the flagship project of HF ArtsFest celebrating local disabled
artists within the community.
JOY will be showcasing not only those disabled artists already established within the community, but will reach out to emerging disabled artists and those that have not previously been involved in the arts.
In 2019 JOY will culminate in a 4 day program at the Lyric Theatre and on Lyric Square from the 5th - 8th June 2019.
How to get involved?
This year, our community commission piece is a Unity Choir, which we would like to be an inclusive choir made up of Hammersmith & Fulham and West London residents. The music for the choir is being written as we speak by our composer working with local disabled artists to create our performance piece. We are inviting those from other choirs in the borough to come and join in the fun. The Unity Choir will be rehearsing Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.30pm at the Lyric Hammersmith. We will be rehearsing from the 28th March up until our performance which will be in the Lyric Square on Saturday 8th June. We would like to have as many people involved as possible, so if you think you and your choir may be interested, please get in touch!
