JOY is a new strand of the Hammersmith and Fulham Arts Festival (HF ArtsFest) celebrating local disabled artists within the community. JOY will be showcasing not only those disabled artists already established within the community, but will reach out to emerging disabled artists and those that have not previously been involved in the arts.

If you have any questions, or would like to be involved in JOY – then get in touch with Kelly by calling 020 8964  5060, or email

Thanks to John Lyon’s Charity, JOY have been going into Special Educational Needs schools in the borough and bringing them creative workshops they may not have done before. So far, we have been visiting Jack Tizard, Cambridge School and Parayhouse School who have been exploring arts including Music, Drama and Dance.   If you are a SEN school and would like to benefit from similar workshops, get in touch with Kelly for more information.

Thanks to Dr Edward’s and Bishops King Fulham Charity, JOY have been working with disabled community groups in the borough to run creative workshops. We have been working with Action on Disability, Fulham Good Neighbours, Bishop Creighton House, Yarrow Housing and MENCAP. They have all chosen different art forms, including Dance, Singing, Song writing, Pottery and Drama.

We are grateful for the support of Hammersmith United Charities (HUC), Arts Council England, Dr Edwards and Bishop’s King Fulham Charity (DEBK), Stanhope, John Lyon's Charity and the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
