During lockdown, Young Amici have been meeting twice weekly online to keep active and creative together. As a group and individually, members of Young Amici filmed sections of their piece ‘We Dance into the Forest’ to bring together as a celebration of this year's achievements. The original version of ‘We Dance into the Forest’ first premiered in 2019 at the Mile End Arts Pavilion. It was inspired by shapes and landscapes of nature and commissioned to be shown in an art gallery setting.
Young Amici are an integrated disabled and non-disabled contemporary dance group based in West London. Our weekly classes are for disabled and non-disabled young people (11-25 years old) who are interested in dance and theatre. The classes are FREE, fun, fully inclusive and suitable for all levels of experience and can lead to opportunities in performance and leadership training. Young Amici is a chance to meet new people, express yourself in a safe environment, experience dance through Amici’s unique improvisation techniques and discover the Magic of Amici.
