Beyond Reasonable Drought explores the relationship between the technological, the social and the natural world. This is one of a series of interactions which contemplate not only the presence of fungi but the nature of our present-day experience, capturing the surreality of what it means to be alive right now, with particular resonance during a global pandemic.
My art excavates topics which address the relationship between human and more-than-human worlds, often disrupting the familiar, habitual perceptions of nature culture binaries. I seek to evoke a childlike curiosity in the viewer, and create a space which allows one to throw themselves beyond what they see, into the hidden and invisible aspects of the world.
