This piece is developed from an encounter during my daily stroll in the nearby park. It is a recording about a past anchorage of my seeking heart, a one-minute temporary home for locating my heart among those fleeting moments. While gazing at the view of the temporary still water and dead leaves, the state of the observing heart was still changing, but for a while being away from other agitations.
I am the third generation in my family after the Chinese Cultural Revolution currently studying in London. My work explores various representations of extracted becoming states from past presents, in the natural environment. Analogue and other camera-less printing techniques are used to trace the passing of certain durations of time and attempting to freeze them in two-dimensional prints.
