In this body of work I aim to create surreal repetitions of everyday, public spaces that provoke a double take. A moment where the viewer slows down and notices a sight which is normally a fleeting blur in the course of their day. I am interested in drawing attention to the less observed parts of everyday space, giving them a significance through my material investment.
My practice investigates the relationship between image, object and environment to create site-specific responses using domestic materials. I aim to augment the everyday and present it back to the viewer, challenging notions of the familiar to create uncertain outcomes. I am an artist and MA student based in Brighton, UK. I am currently studying Print at the Royal College of Art.
